The platform

The core every Moveck application runs on.

deem is Moveck's own development platform. It holds the data model, the biomechanical engine and the shared services. The applications are focused ways into that one core, so a result moves between them without ever leaving the platform.

What deem holds

Solved once, inherited by every tool.

One shared data model

A trial processed in one application is understood by every other, with no export step in between.

One biomechanical engine

The same validated biomechanics under every tool, so a result does not change with the window it was computed in.

Shared services

Storage, versioning, provenance and reporting are solved once and inherited by every application.

Movement modules

Specialized to the movement you study.

A movement module carries what is specific to one activity: how its events are detected, where a cycle begins and ends, and which outcomes are worth reporting. The applications stay the same. The module makes them speak your movement.

Modules are built on deem, so a new one reaches every application at once. If your discipline needs one that does not exist yet, that is work we do with you.

H6D

The open file format for human movement data.

HDF5 gives the container. H6D gives the content: a standardized, openly documented structure for motion-capture and analysis data, across every modality. Organize acquisitions once, then find, reuse and share them across tools and teams without lock-in.

  • Open standard
  • HDF5-based
  • FAIR by construction
  • No proprietary software

H6D = Hexade · six groups describe any dataset

01Human

The subject and their anatomy.

02Space

Coordinate systems and reference frames.

03Time

Trials, sessions, events and sampling.

04Device

What measured or computed the data.

05Transformation

How frames and quantities are derived.

06Analysis

Processed outcomes and their provenance.

Draft specification, v1 in progress. Presented at WCB 2026 in Vancouver. Reader, validator and C3D converter coming soon.

Lineage

More than fifteen years of tools development, grown into one platform.

deem builds on years of work on the tools its founder authored, trusted across research and clinical laboratories worldwide, and goes well beyond what any of them could do alone.

  1. 01

    BTK

Biomechanical ToolKit - the C++ core and its Python and MATLAB bindings.

  2. 02

    Mokka

The motion-kinematic and kinetic analyzer, and the ancestor of Explore.

  3. 03

    OpenMA

The open motion-analysis successor, broadening the data model.

  4. 04

    pyCGM2

A reference implementation of the Conventional Gait Model.
